The sun had suddenly gone from being high in the sky to gradually almost starting it's decent into the horizon. A few winter hares darted across the old town of Dogsong and I shook my head, slowly heading toward the grocery store. I wasn't much of a hound to go and chase off after some little, furry animal to snap its neck and spill blood everywhere if I didn't need to. Besides, why kill something so helpless if you weren't really hungry? Especially in the Winter, when you needed everything to survive so that you could keep living. If there was ever a time to not kill for fun, it would be the winter time. I shivered softly as the evening chill began to set in and I knew that I had to find somewhere to sleep, and thus I had stumbled upon the thought of Chuck's old place, the Grocery store!
It seemed that if you were found in any of the human houses, you were usually killed for being thought of as a lover of the human beasts that changed us into the beasts that we have become. And while I occasionally partook in the beating of those found in the homes during the evenings, I never really felt bitterly toward the humans in my life. In fact, if they hadn't done what they had, I never would have become my fun self, would I? I think not. There wasn't any snow upon the ground, and I slowly continued toward the grocery store, my nose now numb from the frost in the air nipping at them. The fog would be setting in soon, like it often did on the Winter nights in Dogsong, but I didn't much care, as I would be safe inside the Grocery store by then.
I couldn't ever stand staying out on the Winter evenings, unless I was with some brute, of course, but still. It is always so cold, and it isn't like my coat grows nice and thick to protect me, in fact, my coat stays about just as thick as it is in the Summer time! How lame is that? Extremely. I stopped once to shake my coat and look around, rememberence of the times that I had once spent enjoyably with the other canines of Dogsong on the streets. Now we couldn't even remember each other because of some stupid injection that was probably used to make us stronger as I assume that in his making of super dogs, the Professor wanted to wipe us clean of emotions and anything that would set us back in any way. Man, was that dude a failure! I mean, sure he succedeed in making us the monsters that we became, but other than that, the Professor was a complete and total loser! I could help but to laugh at the old Professor, then feel a bit of pitty for him. What a shame it would be to fall to your knees and be killed by the very things that you spent so much time working on and the creations that you put so much devotion into...
I shook my head vigoriously, then snorted. "He deserved what came to him." I reassured myself with a nod before falling silent, unsure if I should allow myself to fall into thought once more, as it might just turn into memories of the Professor and people once more. I pulled forward into a fast canter, I suppose you could call it... or at least that's what it would have been called if I were a horse. Haha. My paws took graceful steps as I seemed to just sort of soar over the ground, my speed easily picking up as my tongue slowly dropped from my muzzle and my ears dropped back, just as they both would if it were any season that wasn't so cold as this one. My bright teal eyes scanned the lands before me and as the Sun rolled softly over my back, my purple fur shone a sort of pink, then just as quickly changed to a red as the sun became hidden.
It was funny how quickly my pelt seemed to change between red, purple, and pink, yet really wasn't changing at all. In fact, it was still the same color, it just looked different when the light hit it. Kind of like a Polar Bear's pelt. I snorted at having just compared myself to a Polar Bear before I stopped once more, my walk down memory lane taking over my mind once more. Ah yes, all the times that I had ran throughout this spot when I was still with Ma and Da... and all my siblings. That was long, long ago, though. I slowly remembered some of the other dogs that I had once jumped around with and played with as well as stolen from. Being a pup made things so much easier, but I will admit, my family was sort of... twisted. Sure, all families have their problems.... but mine was way out there and really... strange and odd and well... twisted. Just plain twisted. I can't think of any better term for those old mongrels.
My tail flipped and my ears flattened. I growled, scaring away the thoughts once more before I set my self forward and for Ol' Chuck's once more. I really missed the people food... and if I really wanted to, I could probably ransack one of the old houses and find some, but I wasn't much up for the risk of being caught and mauled or killed today. My eyes rolled and I slowly pulled myself closer to the store, as it was now in clear site - good thing to, because the fog was really growing thick now. The door was closed, and with paws, you couldn't really open it, but Chuck had a doggy-door somewhere in the back, if I remembered correctly, for his old furry street friends. However, there wasn't really no need to go around and search for it, as the window was long busted in, and while there was glass everywhere, I was too lazy to really go and look for any better entrance.
Coming to the window, I carefully placed my paws below the seal so I could look for a good spot where I could land without getting glass caught in myself. Finally, I found what looked perfect. Dropping from the wall, and then crouching down, I sort of sling-shotted myself through the window and made my graceful landing, just where I had planned. However, things weren't that simple and as my hindlegs met the mark, they were a little off and a sharp pain shot up my hind leg. I allowed myself to yelp, just as any female would, before I jumped and did my best to avoid the glass and other sharp objects scattered about the floor, my hind right leg now raised to my hip so as it looked like I was missing a foot. I could still move pretty easily, as most dogs can still move just as easily with three feet as four, if they have the balance.
Moving down one of the cleaner aisles, and then sort of limping.... or hopping toward a back aisle that had fallen over probably a year or two back and now permanatley rested upon a self across the way from it. The back was sheltered in my the left wall of the building, and the only entrance under the rows was this small opening where probably only a dog of my size, about the height of a collie, could squeeze under. I tried my hardest to slide under, but with my back leg not being useable at the moment, I fell flat on my face, hitting my snout along the old, metal aisle. I yelped once more before sighing in defeat. "Damn it..." The words didn't seem like anything more than a whisper, and for once, I wished that any dog where near, male, female, mooner, or sunner, to help me out and get the damned piece of glass from my hind leg. Alas, I seemed to be... alone.
Sitting up, I used my forepaws to push myself up right and then tried to maneuver my snout between my legs. It was still no use though, the glass was too far back in my leg, cutting halfway into my paw pad and halfway into the back of my foot. I cried as I tried to grab it once more, but only managed to jam the glass deeper into the wound, making me grateful that the piece was large and would easily be able to be pulled out if someone came along. I just couldn't seem to reach it on my own. Standing and moving over to the back wall, I curled up between the wall and the aisle, sighing deeply before lowering my head to the floor and waiting in hope that someone would show up to save me. Besides, I was really lonely and bored right now, so it wasn't just the glass in my foot asking for someone to show up... it was all of me.

D'ARTAGAN [Stop][Replay][Stay in that moment][/right][/size][/font] It was half past six now...
At least, that was what I thought. Raising my muzzle to the heavens (no, I was not going to howl), amber optics surveyed the skies. It was a widespread of golden dipped in red. The clouds were thin strips. Reminded me of dried meat, the rare ones that had already been consumed by the loose canines from a long time. What a random thought. Shaking my muzzle, I lowered by head and conitnued plodding on. I could not help it. Most of us were hungry and cold nowadays. Miserable, as well. What could one expect, when the winter stole the warm weather? Licking my inscisors hungrily, I looked around the tiny corner which I was in. Snow had not arrived yet, this was merely the start of winter. The cold wind was merciless though. Thank goodness I had long fur.
A sudden movement to the left! I spun round my powerful hindquarters and chased after that white mix of fur and meat..one..I twisted wildly round a bend, paws scrabbling at the slippery wet ground...two..I was gaining ground, hunger-frenzied occs was focused on the bobbing prey..three...Hindquarters dug forward, bodice low to the ground, outstreched paws..I overturned the animal quite by accident, sent it flying high...sprang up...and the whole chunk fell neatly into my jaws. Mission accomplished.
Now, moving into a slow lope, I weaved my way skillfully through the little town. Stopping by the side, I crunched my jaws down onto the struggling furball. The warm taste of rabbit ran down my throat and I consumed it with great relish. Everything was gone at once. All except for the head which I spat out. Moving forward, stomach satisfied, I found myself outside teh Grocery store. Warm and cosy. I jumped into the store, over a jagged piece of glass that was proturding from the frame. A painful tear ran down as I landed safely on the floor. Sitting down abrupty, I nosed my chest and gently licked away the blood. I had cut myself accidentally for the third time.
It was nearing seven now...
The time when I would transform was near. I hated it. I really did, although the ability to fly was very enjoyable. I should find some safe place to rest and gather energy first. Moving along the aisles, I smirked at the broken cans, bottles and dented tins. Wonderful job left behind. I really missed the cleaners. The floor was cold to my warm pads and I moved on swiftly.
A cold breeze blew from the left and I halted, frozen over by the scent of blood. Suddenly, I felt more agile. Optics could see clearly now and I gazed forward with ease. My right paw vibrated. No...no....It was being 'swallowed' up and in it's place grew a big, black eagle's claw. Grabbing the air, my hindlegs spread out in a defensive pose as my shoulder split open. Another wind blew by, another scent of blood. It stang and I let out a painful howl. The first time my wound splits open, it hurt the most. Wings grew out. Now this was not pain and I stood there, panting. The lower purple wing lit up the dark store. I walked forward a little unsteadily. A great headache befell me and I let out another howl of anguish. I was losing focus. I could not think, it was a dark, murky mess...
I walked on, a greater air of importance and authority surrounding me. I smirked and let out a snarl at the moving 2D greyish dog figure on the floor. Walk faster, Poldy, we've got a visitor. There was another being somewhere in the store. My fur ruffled as I made use of my agility and bounded forward. The fallen shelf, the mess, a slight sigh and groan--I came to an abrupt halt as I saw a she-dog. Lying there, fastened in two legs by the glass. I didn't gloat. Of course not, I was not that mean, was I? Walking forward, I stood stock still, looking over her carelessly. Now I knew it was from her that the blood came from.
Tan, glossy coat, a white stripe down, white paws, medium sized....oh whatever. She was no match for me physically, that was all that matterd. After all, she was just a sunner. Lack of powers or any other attributes that she could use to her advantage. Opening my jaws rudely, crudely, in a large yawn, I sat down, out of reach, and licked my chops quietly. Glaring at my pal Poldy, I gently gave him a lick. It went right through him to the floor. Oh well. It was always like that. Now, my thought drfited back to the female. Half of me said: Let the sunner suffer. Leave her bleed. Who is she anyway? The other hald fought back: no, you can't let a canine bleed so cruelly. Help her.
Getting slightly irked, I moved towards her, nosed her fur, tasted a little blood and hung my tongue out in disgust. Turning my head sideways, my eye holding slight disregard, I drawled out:So,Sunshine Lady, I see that you were dumb enough to get into such a mess. And might I such a kind sir, help you get out? Laughing in an insane way, I walked out of reach and lay down, brindled head over jaws, white optics staring at her. Appearing vacant, but it was not so. Just staring and staring, chuckling to myself...

I looked softly around, blinking as I cast my gaze toward the window and watched the sun finish it's decent behind the mountains. Here it came... Within seconds, my body lit up like a Christmas tree, a soft glow consuming my bright purple fur and white markings, my teals eyes slowly closing a last time as the color was drained from them. For a half a second, my body was colorless, the marking on my back was gone, the note on my site had disappeared and the lines under my eye, well there was no sign of them. I took in a deep breath as my fur seem to flutter and then fall to the ground with a soft wind. No longer was my fur the color changing purple, but was now, instead, it's normal tan. The white no longer had a teal tint and my teal eyes had turned to a more brown colour.
I smirked and dropped my head. Now the meaner side would slowly make way through my body, but for some reason or another, I had lately been able to hold onto some of my daytime traits, the ones that were the most useful to me. Flirting and manipulating. Sure, my acting would probably be a pile of shit now, as would my lies; but I never really used those in the evening anyways. There was no use in lying to a Mooner, nor any Sunner that crossed my path in the evening. They were all the same to me, mean and harsh. I snorted, then raised my head quickly, shoving my body up into a sitting position like long before. My forepaws held out before my and my hind ones slowly came before them, coming up between the legs.
I sighed as I tried once more to tug the glass from my foot, but it still wasn't of any use to me. It was then that an odd smell came to my nose, but alas, it was too late to react. With me not paying attention, I hadn't noticed that there was another dog in here before this very moment, and now he was coming toward me. His appearance was odd to me, and I knew from just his putrid scent that he was a Mooner. I snorted and watched him come toward me, having taken quite the notice of his... shadow. That was odd... I didn't that that dogs had shadows in the night... I shook my head and slid back a little on my rump as the black form continued toward me, his coat dark and his appearance like that of a shepherd, perhaps?
Brown eyes settled strongly upon him and he smelt like fresh meat, making me chuckle as I wondered if his kill had been the rabbit that I allowed to pass for someone else. Not like I really cared, as the important thing was that the brute seemed full, and hopefully wouldn't try to harm me. I lifted a fore-paw to rub over my face, my dark eyes slowly closing and then opening once more with some speed so that I could make sure that I was seeing right, having never spotted another like him before.... not that that was odd, since most dogs in Dogsong didn't look anything alike. 'So,Sunshine Lady, I see that you were dumb enough to get into such a mess. And might I such a kind sir, help you get out?' I nearly let out a snarl at the words, but first came the thought of the pain in my foot; especially since he had just shoveled his nose into it.
"Good Sir, do you really mean to tell me that you have not made any of the same mistakes before? Judging by your chest, you in fact just cut it open on the glass yourself. So don't give me any of that shit, and just help me out, would ya?" I barked in a quick response to his words, taking a sort of sour smirk on my face, before letting it fade away. He was a male, and I a female, so after he helped me out... well why not try to flirt a bit? And hope that my tongue doesn't get the best of me. Besides, it really wasn't as if I could take him on, he was bigger than me and not to mention a Mooner, fully energized from his change, or at least he should be. I shook my coat, and allowed my foot forward, doing my best to flash one of my charming, morning smiles... and I must say, I did quite a good job.
I inched my muzzle toward the brute and tried to listen to him, but the male did nothing more than chuckle and watch me through white eyes... as if he were blind. "Are you going to help me or not? Can you even see...? Are you blind?" My voice was sort of bitter, but I tried once more to add my charm to it, yet that one was no use and I shouldn't have even bothered to try. I was growing impatient and finally, pulled myself up onto all four paws and staggered toward him, exhausted from not getting a proper rest. My energy was drained, and to tell the truth, I was quite surprised that I did not loose balance and fall forward on the fellow. Luckily though, that did not happen and I managed to 'gracefully' move around him, doing my best to not let my tongue loll or my ears fold back, but to instead keep a graceful/prissy look on my face.
Plopping onto my ass just before his snout, I shoved my foot forward, the glass sticking right out from it. "Please?" I finally whined in a most girlie manner, hoping that he would help me so that I could just get out and be on my way. Really, I didn't want much to do with a Mooner, especially not this creepy looking one. If anything, I wanted to have the glass removed from my foot so that I could trot across the cold title to the back door and work a way out from there, perhaps find the ol' doggy door if it still held a place there. That would be nice... then I wouldn't have to deal with the glass and the pain that it caused. Gosh, how I now hated glass.

D'ARTAGAN [Stop][Replay][Stay in that moment][/right][/size][/font] Ah..she was such an amusing one. Why, she was staring at Poldy and me...with that half-amazed look on her face. Come on, don't you know that everyone has a shadow at night? At least I have. And Poldy is mine. You're not going to claim him as yours, dumb she-dog. Now, she seemed to have sensed my thoughts, or was she just scared of my appearance? There was no mistaking in her sidling backwards just a little.
"Good Sir, do you really mean to tell me that you have not made any of the same mistakes before? Judging by your chest, you in fact just cut it open on the glass yourself. So don't give me any of that shit, and just help me out, would ya?" I opened my jaws in another maniacal laughter, but almost at once, my facade went straight and blank as usual. Call me bi-polar, call me a fine specimen of split personality. Whatever it was, my mood was back to normal now. Perhaps the 'predator' part had quietened down in me. To tell the truth, I was a little shocked. Hey, I was never scolded or ticked off by such an irksome female. Ah yes how could I forget, she was leading the sunners. Or at least, for the time being she was queening over them all. Still lying down, I waited for her to move. I growled inside, deep down there, and let the sound quaver through the air, getting louder and indignant, then dying down again. I was not patient, but oh well. I would take my time.
The next sentence this sand dog spoke was hushed by the howling wind and I only caught 'blind'. One ear tipped forward ever so slightly. Wrong word, I'm sorry darling. Getting to my paws, I was about to leave the female to bleed when her sudden slow, 'painful' movements towards me made me sit down abruptly. My rump hit the cold floor and I stared at her in amazement. She was using that method on me, was she? Making use of her flair to try appeal to me. I did not normally get influenced by such things.
But she...she was different and for a moment, I slipped into her trick, her seductiveness. Only a top class liar could do that. But she was so convincing in her act. As she plopped herself in front of me, her rump just right in front of my very nose, I let go of all my two inch spikes. Nay, I did not back away. That would be a sign of weakness. Instead, I stood up and neared her, letting a tinge of hot breath land behind her ear. Bending close but not such that she would get pricked, I whispered. Darling, you know that this does not charm ones like me.
If she wanted to play such a game, she would get it
I withdrew my spikes, letting my think fur sidle beside hers. Putting on a smirk, I circled her just as she did. But of course, within closer proximity. Ah well. I should just give in to this annoying yet charming temptress. What a troublesome vixen she was. Bending down, I easily grasped the glass shard between my strong teeth and yanked it out. Detecting whatever snow there was just at the window pane not far off, I easily manipulated it into ice and let it press on her foot for a second. Then, I created another circlet of ice around her lower let, letting it hold the ice firmly on top of her wound. Thank goodness my slash-like wound did not hurt me yet. Standing at respectable distance, I stood facing the vixen directly. My tone was more serious now. It was almost brother-like.
You would really charm lots of canines, but I suggest you don't pull that trick too many times or the whole world will not fall into it. As I did not. Experience dear.
I turned to go, but looked at her, hard and gave her a half-smile.
Though I must say that you did a real good job there.
Something else was there. Perhaps I sensed a friendlier part of this she-dog, I did not move off. Padding softly back to her, I looked over her paw. It seemed quite alright, not that bad as she had exagerrated in her actions.
Would you like to go for a walk? I can help protect you from the snow.
Maybe I could earn a friend. She was one of the rarer ones who could tolerate my meaness. Seeing no reaction, I shrugged and giving a look at my shadow, I spoke gently.
Hush Poldy, and lets get a-going.
With that, I walked off, my head errect and held with that certain protective, graceful yet rough air. It was her choice, not mine to force. And she had better not get the thought in her pretty little whimsical mind that I had fallen for her. Oh no. She still had lots to discover.
[Word Count][918] [Comments]Yeah the timing is fine with me, the twist in her character turns out fine. I hope that my writing is not too explicit :3 and this is turning out real intersting.

I had to admit, that it had been quite humorous the way that this 'tough guy' had sort of been surprised by what I had barked at him earlier, as if he had never had someone talk to him like that. I myself had been surprised that I could hold back mocking him, but probably managed to do it from disgust for the Mooner. I had never really felt bitter toward Mooners but during the night when they managed to make me a bit... upset. Shaking my coat, I watched him carefully, sort of worried that he might try something with the weapons and such that he had on his body and could easily use to attack me, but instead I remained quiet and just allowed my brown eyes to softly follow him, a pleasing smile on my muzzle.
His breath hit my ear with a warm feeling, making it fall back. My eyes softened but held a shine and I easily lightened up my look, turning me head so as to look up at him. 'Darling, you know that this does not charm ones like me.' The words made me giggle softly as I raised my muzzle toward his own ear, the words coming softly and smoothly from my muzzle, my voice calm and relaxed, like it usually was. "And what is this, that you speak of, Good Sir?" I replied with ease and waited for him to speak to me once more. However, he didn't seem to have listened to me as he withdrew his spikes and slowly came around me, softly circling as if he were trying to do something.... However, I didn't really think anything of it besides that perhaps he was trying to make a point.
Finally, he lowered his head to my extended foot, his strong jaws clamping around it and tugging it out. With a feminine yelp, I jumped as the pain shot up my foot and slowly made it's course up my leg and then out my hip. The hole jolt seemed to have caught me off guard, but I wasn't really expecting the brute to just go and tear the damn shard out like he did, so I can't say that I was expecting any of it, especially not what came next. In the blink of an eye, he had manipulated the snow to ice and easily put it on the wound, bringing more to hold it there so as the bleeding would stop and the cold would heal it faster, as I assumed, since I had really never seen something like it before now.
Glaring at him, and waiting for him to laugh in my face, the male instead spoke to me, giving off a family like effect in his voice, which only made me role my eyes. In my family, everyone had been equally screwed up, really just making matters worse for one another, so him speaking the way he did, well it was as if he was trying to be better and tell me how I should and shouldn't act, just like some of the older dogs used to tell Ma and Da how they should raised us. 'You would really charm lots of canines, but I suggest you don't pull that trick too many times or the whole world will not fall into it. As I did not. Experience dear.' I rolled my eyes and looked away, mutter softly under my breath, "I'll do i whenever I want to." Of course, he wouldn't hear me, and so I really had no worries making a comment back like that, not feeling like I should say it loud enough for him to hear me, since he had just done me a favor.
I raised my head as the male seemed to be leaving. I jumped up, wondering why he was going so soon, I mean he had just shown up, had he not? As if he had read my thought, the male turned to smile at me and I returned a smug look of my own. Had this just been some game of his to show that while I was tired and ready for a good rest, that I was also lonely and wanted company? Nah... I doubt he was smart enough to try and pull some trick on me like that. 'Though I must say that you did a real good job there.' And with that, I was happy enough for him to leave and take all of Dogsong with him. Just that statement was enough to make me smile, a real, genuine smile and feel all giddy inside. Odd, eh? But compliments sometimes do that to a girl when coming from a boy.
As I almost fell into my own mind with the smile that he had brought upon my muzzle, I nearly did not hear him as he spoke once more, inviting me for a walk. 'Would you like to go for a walk? I can help protect you from the snow.' In disbelief, as if he were now mocking me, I sneered. Was he joking? Was this all some sick gag of his? Like he was just trying to mess with me? No... it couldn't be, the look on his face was too real to be fake, and I should know. I watched him for a brief moment or too, as he then figured that I wasn't interested and lowered his head to his odd night-time shadow, and softly his mouth moved, like he was talking. I stood and moved close, as to hear what he was saying, but it was no use, I couldn't make out any of it.
And with that, I watched the male lift his head and start to trot off once more. Standing in a sort of disbelief, my tan fur ruffled with a soft wind and I felt alone once more. My ears stood up properly and I listened for the faint foot steps of the brute as he continued his exit of Chuck's Grocery store before it struck me. He had really just asked me if I wanted to go on a walk. It was no joke, and he wasn't trying to mess with me. Perking up, I lifted myself to my own graceful stance and took off after him, my steps soft and dainty, like a female's should be, while I did all I could to show off my body with each growing step, just as Ma had taught me to do when I was a wee pup. Finally, his form came back to my vision and I paused, not really sure if I should join him or not. With a nod, I figured 'why not?' and sprinted up to his side, a frown on my face as I looked toward him.
"Hey; you never waited for an answer." I barked at him, my tone calm, like usual and it now obvious that my paw was fine, minus the blood that still stained my fur, his ice trick having done quite the work on it. I flung my head up and met his pace, tail softly wagging behind my rump as I continued to look straight at him, rather than where I was going. "I'll join you if you promise that I won't freeze out there, in the cold." My own half-grin played upon my face before turning to a sort of smug smirk, my eyes now looking forward to make sure that I did not cut myself on anything else that would cause damage to my body like the glass had. "But you must tell me, what's your name, stranger?" As of this point, I had just gone on calling him Sir... and he calling me Darling, if I remembered right, and I wished to know the name of the fellow that had done me the favor of pulling the glass from my foot.

D'ARTAGAN [Stop][Replay][Stay in that moment][/right][/size][/font] She came. Bounding right up to me within a minute.
Of course, she wouldn't have come all the way up to me humbly, she had to make a blunt remark. Though I had to say that it certainly held a pleasant tone to it. Thank god that at least she was not snapping at me. Turning to her, my 'vacant' occs bore into hers and I spoke with a small half-mocking laugh. You were pretty motionless back there.. I'll join you if you promise that I won't freeze out there, in the cold." I looked away from her.I can't promise you anything, but I will do my best. Though I can only fend you from the little snow that is falling. And as I spoke,it was obvious that the little white flurries were already beginning to fall gently.
I must have annoyed the femme with my next remark, but I didn't really care. One thing was that winter never ceased to amaze me (despite my wound) and I diverted my attention to Poldy. Dear Poldy, who had gone through three winters with me.Poldy, lets hope that you don't freeze out there. Oh wait a moment. I had not introduced Poldy to this canine yet. "But you must tell me, what's your name, stranger?Oh yes...I had been too engrossed in my four-legged pal that I did not answer the...stranger. Yes, if that was what she wanted to be known as. Using a genial tone, I enthusiasitcally introduced us.My name's D'artagan. It's a bit of a mouthful. And see Poldy down there? Yeah that 2-D dog what a strange fellow he is! Bending down, I placed a ear against his muzzle that had now disappeared and melted into the pool of grey. I stood upright and gave a half smile to the....What's your name? And Poldy says that he is pleased to meet you. Or at least, that is what he thinks. I was talking too much for my own good, ranting away and this she-dog had not said anything yet.
Falling into unatural silence, I glanced up. The sky was so dark and all the lamps had long ceased to work. All the better, I mean, how does this affect me? I can see perfectly normally. Not sure about this canine though. Anyway, she should be glad she had a trustworthy dog by her side. Me, of course. Well, minus the swinging mood changes. She was definately lucky to have caught me in a happier, maniacal mood. You couldn't possibly imagine me when I was angry.
Laughing that maniacal laugh of mine again, I turned to her. Letting my serious facade fall again, I lifted one medium-sized wing, the red one lined with black, and moved closer to the dar...no, stranger. Such that it gave her a sort of rood-shelter from the snow. Stretching out my right claw, I gave a graceful bow, mockingly, and spoke in a fake, polite tone:We'll just get going to your favourite haunt. Or...would you rather go jump over trashcans with me? It's great sport...there's a perfect spot right behind this grocery store.
No reponse. Or was it just my impatience as always? I stood upright and feeling a tad bored, maniuplated a small bit of snow into ice and ice into...rose?nah...only the two-leggeds did that. Catching a brainwave, I manipulated it into the shape of the rabbit. I could sense the ever so slight strain in my wound and let go of whatever force was holding the ice. Easily catching the sculpture between my jaws, I dropped it in front of her paws, whiich I just realised, had stopped bleeding. The cold weather, together with the dry wind, preserved this life-sized ice rabbit and it was in perfect condition, no sign of melting yet and a neat layer of frost covering it. Ah yes, I just felt like teasing her.You can always chew on it when you feel like it or use it to cover up a wound...if you get a second one. Smirking, I pawed the ground gently with my left paw. I was getting impatient. We should get going. Somewhere. Anywhere. As long as we share the enjoyment it's fine.

As the male replied to me after I having made my grand reappearance at his side, his eyes once again seemed to catch me off guard, this time perhaps worse than before. But the startlement that they brought wasn't so bad after I remembered that this was just what the Professor had brought upon us and why he had been killed. The white eyes made me wonder once more if he was blind, yet I didn't believe so as he seemed to be able to see everything perfectly fine. I shook my coat softly and listened to him, before scowling in a manner to say that I wouldn't put up with him mocking me for very long, so he best get it all out of his system this instant. He spoke once more, looking away now and then speaking of how he would do his best to keep the falling snow off of me, but other than that, he wouldn't really be able to help me. "I suppose that is better than nothing, so I'll take it." I barked in reply before I continued to walk along with him, doing my best to hold his pace.
Suddenly, the odd brute turned to look down at his odd shadow once more. I cocked what would be an eyebrow, if I really had one, and watched him as he spoke to the shadow. Aha! So I had not been wrong, he does talk to his shadow! I triumphant look crossed my face as I lifted my head in a more regal manner before drooping back to my usual self. 'Poldy, lets hope that you don't freeze out there.' My head cocked and my ears perked as I expected the shadow to talk back. However, it was silent. Nothing came to me. My head tilted the other direction and I looked at the black male that was quite a bit taller than me, watching him with interest as I waited to her his name and who the Shadow was. My name's D'artagan. It's a bit of a mouthful. And see Poldy down there? Yeah that 2-D dog what a strange fellow he is! What's your name? And Poldy says that he is pleased to meet you. Or at least, that is what he thinks. You were kidding? So as I had worried before, this male was really crazy, like this strange people with no friends that seek for acceptance from their shadow if it came to it. You had to be kidding.
I looked away and rolled my eyes before glancing back. "Erm... my name's Kourier Times, er... yeah." I had tried to go back on my words then, but it was no luck, I had already spilled my real name and there was no way of covering up with another one, no matter how hard I tried. I couldn't think of good lies in the evening anyways, so perhaps it was best that I had told the truth rather than trying to come up with something and saying something dumb in reply. "And... er.... pleased to meet you both? Poldy, D'artagan...." I added a little confused on whether the male thought of them as two separate dogs, or as one. However, having figured that it would be two since he talked to the Shadow, er Poldy, I decided to say both instead of just you. "Okay, you're right about your name. How's about you can call me Kourier, Kour, or KT, if you prefer; if I can call you something shorter. Poldy, on the other hand, that's easy enough" My words came a few moments later, but I hoped to beat him to speaking, and if I hadn't, then I must have spoken over him.
I watched as he looked up at the sky and followed his gaze, unsure if there was something up there, but it was no use, I couldn't see much. In fact, I could barely make out his form as it got darker and darker, and if it weren't for his bright, white eyes, I doubt I'd be able to see him at all. A shiver ran down my spine from the cold, and I shook to rid myself of it. However, it was no use, as it only brought on more cold to follow it. It was chilly outside, but I wasn't going to seem like a wimp, and so I forced back the chattering off teeth that sometimes came along as well as any other chills and shivers that coursed though me. I wasn't going to show this brute that I was cold, at least not yet. That would just make me seem week, in my opinion anyways. However, the stronger appearance didn't last long as his maniacal laugh hit my ears, making them instantly fall back. Gah! I hated his laugh. "A-ha-ha!" I fakely shouted rather than laughing, in response before shutting up to listen to him as he seemed ready to speak once more... or something.
However, instead of talking just yet, he raised a wing, allowing it come over me and I moved closer to his body, ducking my head as if I were trying my damnedest not to hit him, when really I knew I could stand up straight and still be under it without coming close to hitting my head. Then, he stretched out a claw and gave a sort of regal bow, making me giggle softly, especially when he began to speak again, his tone obviously fake. 'We'll just get going to your favourite haunt. Or...would you rather go jump over trashcans with me? It's great sport...there's a perfect spot right behind this grocery store.' Trash can jumping? How... lame... but fine. I sighed to myself before sweetly smiling back at him and giving a bow of my own. "Oh I would certainly love to join your for trashcan jumping, I mean, you have provided me with quite the lovely shelter from the snow, and so I suppose that I should repay you by providing proper company and joining you to play this 'sport' of yours." I lifted my head from my bow with another giggle, obviously being a fake myself as I had spoken. However, it was then that I realized that he had gone off, manipulating the snow once more.
My head tilted like many times before and I watched him carefully as he began to form something from the ice. A rabbit? He stopped to catch it between his powerful teeth, then placed it at my feet. I snorted and listened to him as he spoke. "Haha, 'cause that's real funny." I replied, biting my tongue as to not say anything rude in return, as he had been the one to pull the shard from my foot anyways, and I guess that I did owe him for that, on some level or another. I grasped the rabbit the best I could between my teeth and lifted it before placing it down once more. "So are we going to just stand around here all day so as you can make me thing out of the snow, or shall we get going, Casanova?" I mocked him back before picked up the ice sculpture once more, the cold freezing my mouth instantly as I moved back toward him and nudged him with my shoulder to lead us to the trashcan's at the back of the store. It was obvious that the rabbit was not going to melt anytime soon, but it was also obvious that I would surely freeze if we stood around my longer. Moving up against D'artagan, I wondered if he would allow me to stay close enough as we walked so as his thick, double pelt could keep me somewhat warm. Even if I thought that he was quite the jerk, he was warm and as I said before, I owed him, in a way, so I might as well give him a chance... or some company. Whatever you wanted to call it.

D'ARTAGAN [Stop][Replay][Stay in that moment][/right][/size][/font] What was happening? Normally the other canines would just stare at me, their jaws open in disbelief, calling me a downright maniac. But Kourier...oh fine, I'll call her Kour...could recognise Poldy and she even spoke to him in a somewhat kindly tone. I smiled and waited. As I spoke and she rebutted, I could sense that heavy irony and sacarstic-ness in her tone. That was well in me too. Imagine a pair of cynical canines...oh wow. Joy. As I watched her fiddle with that ice-rabbit, I observed that she indeed had a short temper. But good control. What do you expect from a 'proffessional' smooth talker? I started to lead the way to the back but who knew, someone called out: "So are we going to just stand around here all day so as you can make me thing out of the snow, or shall we get going, Casanova?" [/i] That did it and I stopped straight in my tracks, snarling, jaws open threateningly. I felt my haunches raise and I glared at the female--but of course, she couldn't see my expression so what use was it? Apparently, she was unaffected and simply picked the rabbit, nudged my shoulder and took her place under my wing. I glared at her, snapping my jaws shut but baring my fangs. You... Finding myself at a pathetic loss of words, I rolled my optics and grunted unsatisfactorily. Feeling morose, I trudged towards the back of Chucks Grocery Store. By then, my mind had wandered. I was with no one but Poldy. Maybe Kour was there but...I just trashed her at the back of my mind. females. The grocery store wasn't that big and many had easily torn/scratched/pulled off the latest paint(which coated the walls....20?30? years ago). In it's place, there was much graffiti. I prided myself on being able to remember more words than the average canine. Looking over the signs, this time with careful detail, I caught some retarded markings of I love you and you're mind for eternity. Shaking my thick ruff, I passed by those. Humans were made up of such...cheesy material. No. Greasy would be the right word. I stopped at a faded white and black sign that was now exposed, a rubbish can lying just below it. It read: PLEASE DO NOT VANDALISE THIS PLACE xxx Chucks. There was an arrow pointing to it and some cheeky vandal wrote: Just Did. I chuckled and walked on. Good luck to him, wherever he was. Ah yes. This was the place where I normally jumped over the cans. The street had narrowed down into three different paths. I walked into the narrower one. It was a yellow-brown alleyway, and the ground was well piled with snow. Letting out a wild yelp, I quickened my pace and landed 'three paws one claw' on the snow. Perfect, I took less time than normal. Love my agility. My weight did the trick, and there, printed neatly, was three claws and one rather horrendous eagle-claw print. Never mind. Stretching out my 'eagle leg', I tipped one claw forward and scratched the words: me myself and i were here and so was Poldy. Satisfied, I took on a lope and reached this thin lane where the dead end could be seen just 30 metres away. From what I heard, this area used to be a place for culling poultry. But I wouldn't want to tell anyone else. From here till the end was a long series of trashcans. I used to have this mutt pal who shared this love of jumping with me and we used to drag the trashcans from nearby here. I continued to do so in the night too......by myself. Manipulating water helped too, for I was able to coat the whole thing in ice and transport it. Of course, four to six cans made me tired out. Anyway...I looked at Kour for the first time since passing by Chucks. Was she cold, shivering, or suffering any symptoms? My wings had already provided shelter from the small snowballs. Thank goodness they were so light and flurry, not those heavy snowdrifts or storms. Oh well. She would say so if she was having any problems adapting. ...this is it. I 'train' and exercise out here. And it's for fun too.. Trotting forward, closing my wings, I lowered myself, pinned my auds back slightly and pawed the ground, after which I charged forward and easily cleared a group of four trashcans lying parallel to each other with a distance of 8 cm between them each. It may have been hard, it may have been easy. But I was well versed in this 'sport' or 'game'. I went to another part. Here was a long line of trashcans lying back-to-back in a five metre line. I jumped over them from side to side and felt the blood rushing from beneath me. The coldness sort of vanished and as i went against the wind, my optics started to sting. It looked like it was raining but it was not. Completing the line back and forth in succession, I breathed heavily and spoke, smiling, with a surprising energy and vigour. I just felt so good. You want to try it out? Come, I'll show you. Unless you really can't bear the cold... I hesitated a little. Why should I owe her anything? But oh well...she did behave like she was a queen and the whole world owed her a living. I'll just go sit and shelter you from the snow if needed. Her pelt was the 'water-resistant' type but still, just to make sure she did not keep complaining....I manipulated my elemental water power and drained her coat dry just for a moment, letting the water fall over the fall in small, reflective droplets.[/color] [Word Count][1075][Comments][this post is not really substantial...sorry to make you wait. oh and take your time too ^^ I can wait. Currently very busy as well][/size][/blockquote]
