 Honest Mistakes
« Thread Started on Aug 20, 2008, 8:28pm »

It was nearly sunset. Bright streaks of pinks and oranges filled the sky. It was like a mural, a mural so precisely painted upon the heavens. Only one thing was out of place, a young German Shepherd trotting down the long dirt path. He repeatedly looked to wards to rapidly declining sun. He was a sunner you see, forced to act as someone he's not during the day and then return to his real state by darkness. It was a hard life to live, but he tried his hardest to make it work.

The shepherd, that went by Axle, sighed every time he looked toward the setting sun. Come on, come on, a voice spoke repeatedly in his head. Axle hated to day time, the time he was transformed that is. He was a different, more violent dog during the sunny hours of the day, this was not like him at all. He was a generally a sweet male who went along living life and minding his own business. Suddenly something rustled in the trees behind him. Axle quickly turned on the spot. A frightening growl emerged from within him. His eyes narrowed in on the trees.

The low growl continued, Show Yourself! Axle said in a threatening voice. A small mouse emerged from the thicket. Another growl even more terrifying emerged from Axle's depths. The mouse stood as still as possible. Axle stopped growling, shut his eyes, shook his head. Everything was coming back to him. He shook his large head once more and opened his eyes. The sun had set. Darkness was growing. He looked down at the tiny mouse with kind eyes. He looked the poor creature over and noticed he was shaking. He rolled his brown eyes and said to the mouse, Sorry wasn't feeling myself.
The mouse continued to shake dangerously. Axle felt bad. He wasn't the guy that pretty much everyone saw him as, an evil dog with attitude. No, if only they could meet him when the moon replaced the sun. Axle slowly started to walk away from the scared mouse. He shook his head again, trying to remember anything that may have happened because of him that day. He remembered nothing, it wasn't a surprise. Axle never remembered what happened during the day, cause he totally forgets who he is at that time. Sighing once more he picked up a hasty trot and made his way through the dark down the old country road.
